Recently, we’ve been seeing a lot of Google Nexus 7 2013 specs and press images being leaked ahead of its official launch. It’s been a year already since the announcement of the original Nexus 7 tablet last June 27, 2012 at the annual Google I/O developers conference and perhaps it’s about time for some major refresh on Google’s flagship tablet device.
Based on leaked information circling around the web, we’ve compiled them to create an
unofficial official Nexus 7 2013 specs below. So what are the major changes to expect on the next iteration of Nexus 7? Actually, there are a lot.
Design-wise, the new Nexus 7 seems to have the same overall 7-inch tablet form factor but with some few refinements. The back portion is a smooth brushed plastic finish with an enlarged Nexus logo. A 5 megapixels rear-facing camera was also added on the upper left; plus a dual-speakers found on the top and bottom portions of the tablet. Upfront, a new LED notification was added and the 1.5 MP camera was relocated to the top right portion as well.
On the internals, a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor is rumoured to be powering up the device with an allegedly 2 GB of RAM. The screen resolution was also increased from the original 1280×800, 216ppi to 1920×1080 @ 323 ppi – making the display more crispier and detailed on the eyes. As for the OS, it will run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box.
