Are you an HTC One owner? Then great news awaits you! Just this week, HTC has officially started seeding the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for HTC One devices internationally.
It’s been few months already since we first heard about the coming of the much awaited latest Android Jelly Bean update for HTC One devices. Now at last, HTC One users may now download and enjoy the new features and performance enhancements of Google’s latest Android OS.

As expected, the 465 MB firmware update for HTC One includes a number of changes and system enhancements for the flagship device. Here are some of them as reflected on the OTA screen info:
- Launcher bar enhancement
- Widget panel rearrangement
- New Lock screen style and widget
- Enhanced Home button behavior
- Home button options added to make navigation menu bar removable
- Show battery level in status bar
- Quick settings panel: 12 default settings by new touch gesture
- AE/AF lock feature: Lock Exposure/Focus on viewfinder screen for the camera
Based on report, the said Android OS update has started going live in Taiwan via OTA download then followed by some parts in Europe (Scandinavian countries).
As for our Filipino HTC One users, there’s still
no official confirmation as to when Globe (HTC One’s official partner carrier here in the Philippines) will start rolling out this firmware update over-the-air (OTA). But given the fast adaptation in other countries, we can expect to be up real soon. I will update you for future developments so make sure to subscribe to this post.
[Update: As of July 16, Globe Telecoms has already started rolling out the Android 4.2.2 update to its HTC One postpaid subscribers. There are two separate updates: (1) First, a small package for the main feature update and then after apply and rebooting, (2) a second package containing the 4.2.2 firmware update. The official Globe HTC One update version is 220.127.116.11 that’s about 414 MB in total]
