Cherry Mobile is once again teasing the public’s interest with the announcement of it’s newest Android smartphone, the Cherry Mobile Razor. Adding to their whole new line of quad-core smartphones, this entrant promises to offer quality performance and user experience through its upgraded, high-end hardware components powering up the device.
The Cherry Mobile Razor is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 1 gigs of RAM, and runs the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean version. Scratches in the screen won’t be a problem too with this device, thanks to the Dragontrail Glass technology protecting its 4.5 inches touchscreen display. In fact, Cherry Mobile has announced it to be the most affordable Dragrontrail Glass smartphone in the market.

Design-wise, the Cherry Mobile Razor won’t be that far from the competition. Measuring only 7.7 millimetres thin, it is one of the thinnest local phone sold in the Philippines to date. Despite it’s common square-type form factor and plasticky effect, the device still looks sturdy and will probably survive for a couple of years when taken care of.
[Update: CM Razor is now available nationwide].

Interestingly, Cherry Mobile even made a comparison of the Cherry Mobile Razor versus Apple’s iPhone 5. Quite a bold marketing move for Cherry Mobile, I believe that the CM Razor still has a lot of things to improve despite its hardware superiority as claimed in their comparison chart.
The CM Razor will be available in different Cherry Mobile stores and kiosks nationwide this July 19th. Don’t forget to share your thoughts by leaving your comments below.
