iPhone 5 and iPad Mini users might not be aware of this but today, Apple has made a silent release of their iOS 6.0.2 software update which Apple claims to fix a “bug that could impact Wi-Fi” functionality ofor both iPhone 5 and iPad Mini devices. Surprisingly, there are no other significant changes (i.e. security fixes) included in this latest update; hence, making it seem like just a minor software update.
This iOS 6.0.2 software update is available via OTA (over-the-air) download as stated in their official release note, though some users report that it’s also available for download via iTunes. No definite confirmation yet was made regarding the possible release of this update for other remaing iDevices like the iPhone 4 / 4S, iPad 2 / 3 / 4, and iPod Touch.

If you happen to own an iPhone 5 or an iPad Mini, be sure to grab this minor update to ensure optimal device performance in the future.
UPDATE: Earlier, some users experienced an error “Unable to Check for Updates” when downloading it over-the-air (OTA). It seems that it’s now been fixed. But just in case you’re still having the same problem, you can download the software update via iTunes first, then install it to your device.
