Windows’ mobile operating system, Windows Phone 7.5, is now finally available on Nokia Handsets – the latest Nokia Lumia 800 and Nokia Lumia 710, the “first real Windows Phone” as said by Nokia CEO Stephen Elop. Both Nokia smartphones were announced Wednesday, at the Nokia World Conference 2011 held at London. Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 will neither be available in US this year, though they will be shipped on other countries including France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK on early November this year. Hong Kong, India, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan and possibly Philippines will hit the market early 2012.

Both Lumia 800 and 710 are good phones but not great enough compared to other smartphones on the same price bracket. Although the phone specs are enticing, there are still some features lacking like a front-facing camera (that can be used for video calls like Skype). Among a few disappointments also is phone’s processor which is only running a single core instead of dual core processors when compared to other high end smartphones. The screen resolution (800 x 480 pixels) is also lower than iPhone 4S and Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
