10-inch MSI Tablet PC coming in Mid 2010

The year 2010 has indeed predicted to be the year for tablet PCs. Just as after Apple iPad was formally presented to the public last Wednesday (January 27) and HP’s annoucenment on its own version of tablet PC called HP Slate PC, MSI also had its contending product coming soon.

MSI tablet pcMicro-Star International (MSI) is set to launch a Nvidia Tegra-based tablet PC in the second half of 2010 priced US$500, according to company sales director Sambora Chen.

Chen pointed out that MSI’s tablet PC will feature a 10-inch color touchscreen with wireless support and will be light-weight and thin for mobility, while featuring all the functions of a regular notebook. However, MSI will be flexible of the tablet’s specifications and will launch different models based on market demand.

The main structure and design of this upcoming product of MSI is quite similar to that of Apple iPad though it has some additional buttons on the right side, a camera and microphone on top, and some lighting circles on the right.

Since the product is still not available in the market, there’s still no formal hardware and software specifications given by the company. But one thing is for sure, this product will shaken other competing and similar products in attracting potential tablet PC buyers.
